Journey deep into untamed wonders on our overland Jeep tours of Capitol Reef National Park. Follow the Burr Trail along the iconic Waterpocket Fold into what was once the heart of the thriving Fremont Native American culture. Witness the geology that comprises our Earth’s crust as you traverse landscape surrounded by otherworldly rocks that are millions of years old. Venture into the breathtaking Cathedral Valley in the north end of the park.
These backcountry roads take you to unforgettable marvels such as the Temple of the Sun and Temple of the Moon. Our expert guides will teach you all about the geology, biology, and history of the area.
A vast majority of the roads that access the inner reaches of the park are dirt or just a double track, passable only in vehicles designed for off roading. This intrinsic remoteness allows our Capitol Reef Jeep tours to reach some of the most untouched ecosystems in the United States.
“Great experience! Our guides were Mike and Aiden. They were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and passionate about the Grand Tetons and Jackson Hole. Wildlife safaris are always a challenge because you never know what you will see and what you wont’t see because you’re exploring natural habitats. That said, our guides seemed to know where the hot spots were, as we saw a moose, red fox, elk, white tail deer, big horn sheep, bison, and a Grizzly! Wildlife aside, we were driven around Grand Teton National Park and were able to see all of the key locations with great historical and scientific commentary to boot! Overall, it was an event to remember and one my wife and I will not forget. We highly recommend Backcountry Safaris!”
